October 21st, 2010: 125th birthday of Egon Wellesz. Many projects, among others a compact disc with the Ensemble Kontrapunkte (Conductor: Peter Keuschnig) and compositions for chamber ensemble of Wellesz, which were never released on CD. And: Ensemble Kontrapunkte, Artis Quartet (first concert: May, 27th 2009 with the 3rd string quartet!) and Altenberg Trio will perform many works of Egon Wellesz in the season 2010/11 in the Musikverein Wien! There are also plans for the performance of a symphony – details will follow soon.

The Recording of Egon Wellesz' 3rd, 4th and 6th string
quartet (Artis Quartet/Nimbus Records) is the winner of this year's MIDEM
Classical Award in the category "First Recording"!
